So the last couple days Toni has been acting odd. I am thinking cause the tank is so bare, something she us not used to. First she was following all the different power lines and such going down the back of the tank. Then she started following her reflection from the bottom of the tank. Also she has not eaten much. Just one Carnisticks a day, till last night she decided she was hungry and ate 7 of them before she swam off.

Got a couple pics when I was adjusting the lighting, thinking it was too bright in the tank for her. She does like the lights more toned down.

I think its the new home.

Personally don't think many cichlids do well in bare bottom tanks, there reflection seems to freak them out and most like to dig and rummage round the substrate.

Toni has learned how to dance. If you move side to side in front of the tank, she will do the same thing swing her body side to side staying in the same spot.

OMG! My old geo brasiliensis used to do this! But only if the music was turned up and had a decent bass line. It was odd, he wouldn't swim side to side when I went from side to side, but swam from side to side as the bass line went "doof doof doof". He also kissed me through the glass (I'd put my lips to the tank and he'd do the same on the other side) and even let me pet him. He was a great fish, I moss him so much. :) :(

Do spoil her, any fish that dances is a great fish as far as I'm concerned. :D

This thread is making me want to turn my 125g into an albino oscar tank once I get it running at the new house. I really like how clean the white on red looks on them, and they already have a reputation as a great wet pet.

Keep this thread updated, enjoying the pics and updates.
