Toni and Nemo my albino Oscar's

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would look for some photos/videos of the light before you buy it, the red spectrum lights are great for plants but are a little bit "pinkish" to the eye, so I would only get them if you like (or can deal with) the look. They will only be marginally better than a more traditional spectrum, still a t8 with same output

I will do that, saw some other ones as well that have 11k lumens output

Ok so going back to Sep we see here that
1) Toni has barely any orange. Also note her skin is pearly white.

Sept 2017
What I have been noticing over the last year is that first a goldish metalic layer forms on top of the white. 20180607_132644.jpg

See it in the pic, the goldish layer on top if her white skin.
So as this layer has advance over her skin the orange has followed.

We can see here that it's moving up into her dorsal fin, and working it's way forward. So are we to infer that in time it will cover (her orange coloring) all of this underlayment we see. This will be interesting to see if it does.

So all the SDs are out of the plant and have settled into the group. It's neet watching these guys when they all group up and swim abouts.

Tho It looks like Toni did get a hold of the smallest one of the lot, but it was a bit taller than her mouth is wide.

BTW these spotted SDs are voracious eaters as compared to the Stripped SDs
When Toni eats, they get the tank clean of gill leavins in a mater of minuets.

One of the few times I caught her resting on the bottom of the tank. Rest of the times she is swimming in place or out hunting.20180607_103612.jpg
