You consider yourself a responsible administrator? Shame on you!

There's a big difference between monsterfish and killer dogs. There's nothing friendly from dogs bred to kill. Try telling that to the families victimized by these vicious dogs.

Your reasoning is perverse, irresponsible, and may be criminally misinformed.

Your statements show me where some misinformation actually lies. Just beause other's views aren't within the scope of where yours lie doesn't warrant the label of criminal, perverted, irresponsible, or even shameful. Get off the soapbox, get a grip, and vote your conscience to make changes in political venues. But, you don't need to kick someone in the nuts just because they don't see things your way.

I'd like to add to this. You can probably trust them MORE than you can trust another human being now-a-days.

So true but that goes for any dog, and so true that it's hard to find a place to live with one of these(pitts) dogs. Almost adopted one from a shelter but couldn't find one place that would let me live there while having them. So chose a different breed

I have had a neighbor's pitbull lose its mind on my old dog. I was there when it happened. The pitbull's jaw was wrapped around the rib cage of my 13 lbs dog. It took at least 30 mins to get the pitbull off of my dog. I was doing everything I can think of to get it off of my dog. I finally had to use a stick to pry its jaw open while another neighbor held on its back legs. My dog didn't survive the attack. There was a puncture wound you can stick your finger in to my dog's chest. And this pitbull, I used to pet it all the time when I passed by her.

Sorry for your loss, you are the only one that knows but dogs have a lot of body language that can turn into trouble between two dogs, everything from who gets the first sniff to height of tail when walking.

No offense but if you look at sable she doesn't look full pit, and you're other two are babys. I understand you defending the breed but you have little actual experiance with them if you're basing it on that. Puppy acts way different than a dog and many mental changes take place in that time.

Everyone of course thinks their breed of dog is the best. Different strokes for different folks.

Go to Google news....Type Pit Bull. It changes. Here are the current stories, most over the last 18 hours. I didn't see anything on Sweden.

Pit bull shot by police is euthanized
Pit Bull Owner Arrested After December Mauling
Pit bull in fatal attack euthanized(10 year old girl)
Police deal with pit bull attacks(In the past year, police have had to shoot at least four pit bulls)
Pit Bull Fatally Mauls Chihuahua
Pit bull lawsuits settled
Attorneys: Settlement In Pit Bull Attack Won't Cover Medical Expenses
Settlement reached in pit bull maulings
City looks at restrictions on pit bulls
Pit bull owner arrested in Kingston dog mauling
Knock-on effect as pit bulls seized(UK-five-year-old Ellie Lawrenson was killed by a pit bull)
There were a lot I didn't see, sorry about that.

Now go there and type in murder. There will be 1 for every minute of the past hour. You know who did all those, right? The gun/knife/fist or a person? Your chances of getting mualed by a pitbull are far less than the chances of just getting killed by another human being for money or something. Outlaw humans.

And I wanted to add something else about these "putbull" attacks. Half of the time they are not even pitbulls. There is a whole group of dogs that get clustered in the "pitbull" crowd. In my town, if you got bit by a bull dog or a mastif the papers would say" Man bit by pitbull." No joke, thats just how it is and if you are close to a city it is the same way. Every dog who bites someone becomes a pitbull.

LOL you guys please,of course thats what your going to see in the news because even media has its own "supply and demand".Theres a high demand for stories like that and thats whats going to get aired. Its easier to feed into the hype on an existing (and controversial) subject than it is to create a good story from scratch.

How well do you guys think a story of a pitbull saving a child from a burning building would do?Not well maybe for a day or two people would be like "hey did you see that awesome dog on the news?!" and then it would be back to "pitbull killed this, pitbull attacked that, pitbull eats pug!!"

On the same note how well do you think a story of a lab attacking somones beloved chihuahua will do?Not well same thing maybe talked about for a day or two.

But people see a juicy story on a subject that is,as I mentioned, already a heated topic, and it tends to stick with them.especially if they have already bought into the hype and made up their minds, then they tend to store it in the "case in point" section of their memory banks.

Now am I saying that there is not more attacks from pitts and other large breed dogs than there are from other, more "family" oreinted dogs?No there sure are more attacks from the big "tough" breeds but theres also alot more people abusing or mistreating them in one way or another.Could these two satistics be tied to one another?I believe they could.

Some aquarists with the "Monster Fish Keeper mentality" take care of their monster fish properly and responsably while there are other Monster Fish Keepers who overstock, overfeed, under filter and are pretty much just in it to see their fish eat things, kill things, fight, and just be an all around badass.

Some pet owners with the "Monster Dog Keeper mentality" take care of and raise their large breed dogs properly and responsably while other Monster Dog Keepers are just in it to see their dog eat things, kill things, fight, and just be an all around badass.

Imagine what kind of stories we would see in the news if our fish didnt need water:

"His Arowana broke into our yard and killed my childs Yellow lab!!!"

meanwhile owner looks shocked "well he's never bitten anybody before....I dont know what got into him....":WHOA:

(that last part is mainly for laughs, though it does have a vaguely interesting point)

Keeping them is illegal in many places. To encourage keeping them is criminally negligent.

This is my last post on this thread.

This forum is descending into hell. Look at all the threads that have been encouraged to flower. Many of them violates the rules of this web site.
