torn on my handgun option

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i will say glocks look nice, but so far what i have held i didn't like. i have a friend that is a hardcore glock guy and he will be letting me shoot his. i am thinking now after the options are in i will be getting the xdm.45. the other main selling point for me is the ambidextrous shooting ability with it.

See I'm left-handed too. The only gun I have in LH is my bolt-action rifle. Everything else is just standard, even my AR15. I never had, or even noticed any issues shooting left-handed.

that xds is well worth a look it would seem... Im still be lax to move away from what i know but that is me personally there is nothing more reliable than browning hp, cz's or 1911 mods... and all of em point shoot and work extremely well as ccw for larger framed body types, heck im only 5'10...

Nic i had no idea Kim are doing 10mm stuff... ill have a look at them myself!

Ill double what JC jus siad, i am a righty but train weak side transitions with both long and short arms, and to be honest ive never had a issue with any weapon i cant train for when comes to use in weak hand.... but s&w knife and 5.11 vest... excuse me while i go vom in the corner bro... :nilly:

yes the kimber 10mm are awesome and are on my wish list... im very partial to kimber i love the feel of there guns and a 45 and a 10mm from them are on my list of guns to own

i have really only shot revolvers so semi-autos are kinda a new area since until more recently there hasn't been much/if anything in left handed. i have always shot standard pump and rifles. i just got tired of my add making me look at the shell or having to reach across to work the bolt. so now my shotgun collection is more bps or single shots then anything else and my rifle is a browning .7mm rem mag lh a-bolt medallion. all that is why i have little to no interest in semis till the last year or so.

i agree that the xds looks to be a great option. i'll have to find one and see how i like it. i have and do well with non dominate hand shooting, but the left hand is more of a natural feel so i am looking at getting an ambidextrous gun so if the time calls for it i wont have anything that will make the gun sit weird in my hand, even though i will be shooting regularly with both hands. it mostly goes back to when i was shooting at multiple deer, but only got one and never got a shot at the other due to me having to dismount to chamber a new round. if i didn't have to do that by having the correct gun i would have had 2 bodies to make steakums instead i had one. at that moment i said i will always buy a left handed gun. before then next season i had my lh 7mm mag

i've shot alot of handguns.. and my opinion... Sig Sauer P226 Tactical in .40. then xds, then s&w, then glock. Seriously find a range theat lets you try guns.. I shot quite a few before i made my choice. My choice was based on speed, accuracy, recoil, material. The sigs shoot way smoother than any of the others... Just go shoot em' all for yourself and make a decision.

And the sig costs what?

Op, did u consider 10mm?

You should buy a SIG SAUER P226. I only say that cuzz I like them. Don't have one. Look up the review on youtube by nuttinfancy. Search: Nuttinfancy p226

10mm has crossed my mind before. I just am not sure of any that come left handed. Anyone know of one? Is the sig left handed?

sigs are horrible! end of who wants a site 3" over barrel height... what do you all shoot for? I take in not work.... or for that matter competitin... sigs fast....

where the hell do you cc a p226?

suggesting sigs have a smooth action or fast shooting.... yum NO! plus the OP has already pretty much decided its down to cal. not manufacturer...

but for all you buy my brand its the best and dont have a real scoopy-doo what the hell you are on about, now for some real pistol porn: http://www.sviguns.com/

to the op and back on topic: Id go and try that xds!!! i looks compact, the sites look nice and on barrel the slide looks light weight and slim so the action should be quick and crisp...
