I just dont have the patience for Musky.......the guy I went with got 2 Musky in 3 days, and he knows what hes doing; I honestly dont have the patience for Musky. I am hooked on catching carp, and Im trying different methods besides the old corn flakes and strawberry soda thing. I have caught several carp in between 9 and 20lbs, but nothing over.......yet.

patience is all dependent on the action. i have hardcore A.D.D. it is a tough thing for me to be on the water and not catch anything.

i get more big carp on oatmeal and corn. the corn has to be frozen white and gold currnel from my exp for the best results. if you had tacos for lunch tortillas work aswell for carp and cats.

i have yet to see a 72" musky. 4'(48") is more a average wild "top end" with some cresting the 60" line. i would recomend tiger muskie to the op as they tend to stay smaller though 50"+ fish are found. they can also thrive in warmer water.

here is a 47" example of how beastly they get and how you should look at there tank footprint. they need lots of room.

The OP is from Oregon, and all Pike/Pickerels/Muskies are prohibited here.

this was just general info. i didn't read the whole thread, just about were i gave this info. i don't worry about were an OP is from, if info can be provided then i will give it. as alot of the locations are made up or they could have moved without changing it.
