tsn dying

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I do not think you need to dwelve very deeply into this issue.

It is a new tank, set up by a beginner who still has not figured out the nitrogen cycle.

Fish have, for me, all teh signs of an ammonia spike. I tend to go the obvious route before going deeper in search of other issues.

As for testing you aree right, of course.

What happened to the guy who was taking care of your tank for the last six months while you were living in the UK? Though you said he knew what he was doing, you should get his help since all your problems seem to have arose since you arrived there in srilanka just a week ago.

oh yeah that guy havenot cleaned the tank it was all cloudy. all the fish seemed to be weak. as for proof of pond watch this cause you have no brains bderick. my fish are dying and you are just coming and talking some **** that does not even relate to this thread

by the way thanks for everyone who helped me realise it was ammonia. i live in srrilanka i dont know how to change it to uk to srilanka. lived in uk before

I have no brains? LoL

Where did I even mention your pond? Just wondering why this tank that has been cared for the last 6 months has suddenly had problems. Your claim was that you had your uncle or some guy who knew what he was doing caring for these fish. Just wondering why you wouldn't get his help.

You said the tank was cleaned two weeks ago, a week before you arrived in srilanka. Now you say he didn't clean it? You haven't actually tested for ammonia yet. Something else probably wrong as ammonia ins't just gonna show up like this in a tank that has been running for 6 months.

If your not gonna get that guys help, at least buy a test kit and test your parameters so people here can actually help you.

yea the tank was not cleaned sorry for my mistake. the ammonia level is gone as the arowana dat and bichirs have started to eat and become active. thy ey are very healthy. my luck is out for the tsn lfs said one is eating and seems to do well. the other is still suffrering i hope i can at least save one of em. iam goint to the lfs tommorow and will update soon

At least you've saved one dude , just get another when you tanks settled ready for your pond , or even rtc once ponds set up

x2 when you start haveing issues you always test your water first to rule that out before you start dumping chemicals inot your water or messing with your temps ect ( all things that can do MORE damage if not done properly)

and Brian brought up a very valid point is asking why you haven't had the person who was suppose to be caring for you fish ect... attacking him only convinces the rest of us You just want to hear what you want to hear.. but not actually get any ligitimate help.

Your TSN's death could have been prevented if you had gone threw some very BASIC conducts in IDing and caring for your fish to begin with.
