They always rush me when I go near the pond. Turtles are proper glutens, always hungry and god help you if your fingers are in the way when they come rushing you at feeding time.

Can't edit this now and just noticed I wrote glutens instead of gluttons?

Here are a few pics from my pond.
All these turtles are rescues and I have 11in total.
Some arrived with a few health issues but are all doing well.

This little guy is extremely friendly.
Every morning at around 6.00am he makes the long crawl to my back door.

I always give him a snack and off he goes with it back to the pond.

Captive turtles get a bad deal and are often disgarded or kept in the wrong conditions. This is a real shame as they are intelligent creatures with great character.

Thank you very much, I love it too. I'm saddened at this time of year as its autumn here and I won't see my turtles again until spring comes round again.

That would break my heart! I lucked out and my husband put a pond in our dining room no where near as gorgeous as yours but my Terrapins love it

Sounds nice, wish my wife would go for an indoor pond. I'm not nearly courageous or stupid enough to make that suggestion.

I lucked out in life and the pond was all his idea ,go big or go home as he tells me haha. Fist we had an Oscar and a bunch of convicts when our Oscar passed we got the turtles, and they are beyond spoiled lol
