Thanks, I must admit I'm kind of taken by these turtles. They really are amazing creatures to share your garden with.I love seeing pictures of these guys! I didn’t even notice the ramp before. What a great idea

I picked up these two turtles this week. A beautiful cooter and a yellow bellied slider.
These two where found wondering together in the street. The lady that found them handed them in to her local vets.
One of them had a little blood on it and slight shell damage.
I received a message from a girl I know that works at a local animal sanctuary. She was contacted by the vets who explained they had no choice but to put the animals to sleep.
Normally I would introduce turtles to my pond in the summer. As these two poor things were facing the death sentence regardless, I decided to give them a shot.
They are now in my pond and have spent most of the week at the bottom. A good sign that they will settle for brumation.
In cold weather, an active turtle is not a good sign all is well.
I have every confidence that the turtles will be fine and I'm very happy that these two will live on as they deserve to.

I can't resist them they are a pleasure to keep.
As I'm stuck in the house with this blasted covid, I really enjoy popping down the garden to see these guys. All real characters and all doing well. I absolutely love em.
