Modern panasonic plasma models ST and up use a louvre filter that really helps block reflection. If you see my picture several posts back, I have all the lights on in the background and you cant see me in the reflection; which is an issue with other brand's plasmas, such as samsung's lower models or LG.
We no longer need to express the facts about plasmas, after all this is a fish forum![]()

I'm with you.
Every tech has a best application. My plasma would make a crappy smartphone screen, and as some have pointed out would be lousy for still photography monitors. I just want people to know what they are good at before they make up their mind.
I'm also willing to accept there are better things than plasma under some circumstances.. take Best Buy's magnolia collection which is only the best. There are just as high ratings on LED's as plasmas, although they are sure expensive:
