Man I wish I had some retros available locally. Would be a shame to miss an opportunity like that.

If you're gonna make space for a few LJs, surely there's a spot for 1 retro in the mix :)

I think you are all forgetting that my current tank is only a 3-ft 65 gallon, and I'm a year out from an upgrade. ;)

They sold out, so they're not available, and I don't want to ship one - they're spendy enough as it is.

I wanted to get one and grow it out in the little tank until it was big enough.

Don't think retro will hide. Too many plants in there and get extremely bored. So it'll swim with its mates. :-)

No, but they did have a nice big one for a long time. You missed out. ;)

Keep checking their list every Friday - that's when they update it.

I agree with you in this mags. Stay in your comfort zone. Water quality and maintenance are part of the game too. Its hard man i know sometimes i think ca cichlids are easier to keep in the sense that they'll MAKE sure the tank is understocked lol

I regret having as many as i do in the big tank

Cichlids are something else, my salvini was the devils little helper.

magpie magpie what's the growth rate on congo tetras like? I may consider forking out the cash but I don't want my sen to outgrow and eat it

Finding upper water tank mates is difficult, lucky you have polys everywhere in your tank :p
