  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Mine isn't too great, I just use a kitchen sponge and wipe it down. It was my best decision in a while

i use plecos and snails
I have 2 plecos. Yeah, one is much more of an omnivore (the Para) but there is still some little spots here and there over a couple weeks. I don't dare to do any larger snails, though I was tempted to do a couple of golden rabbit snails. I worry that they'd be picked at and hurt / killed in the big tank.

Tank looks great mag. Fish look very well cared for.

Man your del is making me miss mine

I really love my Del.

The manufacture does not market Flourish as an algaecide. Even though it's a side effect from using :-). Read up on it when you get the chance. I use to dose it all the time and never had algae issues.

magpie magpie . I'd like to correct myself. It's been a while since I had a planted tank. It's seachem Flourish Excel that aids as an algaecide.

Ah, yes - Excel. No worries. I've never used it but I know many do. There was a specific reason I chose not to use it, but I can't recall what that was off the top of my head.

this is my adorkable thing magpie magpie

I'm not going to go into it in detail here as I vented elsewhere but Frank aka J jaws7777 has been SO awesome in trying to ship me out 3 baby Heterospilus to grow out... and the whole process has been a ****ty nightmare. This morning was full of angst and then when they didn't get here before 10:30 am as scheduled (due to effing USPS delay) it moved to frustration, worry, and now sadness.

I am hoping they are surviving somehow and I will get them live tomorrow.

BUT.... my point in posting is not to be a downer - it's the opposite.
I went to stare at the tank as I do, and there was the Polli, be-bopping around as he does, coming to say hi, and then doing his little exploratory rounds around the tank. I felt immediately lighter.

There is a reason behind this hobby - it does give us relaxation and happiness.

So here is a little video of him (her?) swimming around. At about 52 seconds in he does a little waddle swim that I find especially cute and that he tends to do after he's stuffed himself to the literal gills. :)

Also, I added a silly song to it which I never do, so mute it if it drives you nuts. I thought it was kind of appropriate though LOL
