definatley does have HITH all over his head, do frequent water changes, add aquarium salt or melafix, both wont hurt.

hes got two penguin 350s on the tank. he is not going to have bioload with one oscar in a 55 with that kind of fiiltraation. one of those is enough. problem is oscars are just to big for a 55. thats the more important point. see if you can trade for a 75.

How many filters has nothing to do with bio-load (ie nitrates/how often you have to change water to keep them at a safe level). Good filtration takes care of ammonia & nitrites, not nitrAtes.

KLMT: Here's what normal sensors look like and that's with flash under super macro. You shouldn't be able to see them unless you really look. Does that help any?

ok thanks for the pictures they help a lot. and as for mbunafishkeeper like i said, he DOES NOT HAVE HITH ALL OVeR HIS HEAD. it just looks like it is one of the pictures because of the water marks. ill post another picture to prove it.

I love the wood-a lot! And he's a great looking Oscar, I love their little faces when they're babies. It doesn't really look like HITH but it'd be almost impossible to tell without a close-up. I'd be surprised if he had HITH a such a young age. Although my Red Lutino from WalMart had it pretty bad when I got her at 2" a year ago. Even if that's what it is, it'll clear right up with lots of fresh water. Like I said though-doesn't really look like it in this picture.

ya i cant really get a clear close up, and this picture even looks bad too. the only possible HITH spot on him is that one spot right between his eyes, and now he is in the 55 and likin it.

i dont know about any1 else but ive never seen sensory pits on an oscar like that, in that quantity before,

just admit to yourself the oscar has HITH and do something about it before he dies.

lol i know right, but i did have help from my friends and brother. But all in all i figured about 25 man hours of work.

And Mbunafishkeeper he does not look as bad as the pictures show, and i did admit he has a bit of HITH
