i have the same problem with convincing my dad into letting me get a 65 to 75 gallon for my oscar only there is no bargning with my old man lol he claims he dosent want the weight on his floors in the house hint hint he just spint 10 thousand fixing our bad floors so i cnt really argue with him! thought bout having a garage fish hahah and puting the tank out there cause the garage has a concret floor

just keep trying. lol that is what i did then catch him off guard, in a good mood, with other ppl around that support you getting the tank, or when he is drunk. lol jk. just keep trying to reason with him.

build a stand out of 4x4's and make it 8' wide so it sticks out 2' on each side, then situate it to fit over the most number of floor joists as possible that way it spreads the weight and will be the same as having a 55 ;)

actually prolly lighter per joist if you stick with a 75 and not a 90

And Mbunafishkeeper he does not look as bad as the pictures show, and i did admit he has a bit of HITH

Sorry man, I didn't mean to cause you to come under such fire about it. I just wanted to draw attention to what could be a problem. Maybe wipe off the water marks and take another picture?

One of my oscars has HITH too :( But I'm told adding VitaChem and varying his diet helps in addition to the water changes.

Just trying to help :)

no its cool i understand ppl are just trying to help me, help my fish. thanks for everyones input.
