I don't see you falling off a building, getting electrocuted, getting crushed by falling objects, etc etc. Oh yeah "skilled trade" I spent 4 years in an apprenticeship you took a CDL test. Please don't compare your work conditions to mine.

those of us in the building trades are paid an hourly wage which includes benefits, if we receive a $3/hr raise at most $1/hr shows up on our check the rest goes to benefits. Last year we got $3/hr and all of it went to benefits mostly healthcare.burzumaske20;5115294; said:I only go to one steward at the job, that is willing to help me out,not saying the others may or may not help me out,but I have known him longer as a friend.I just don't agree with 100% of what the union is doing at my job, with having one of my workers going around the country, getting paid for it and still working for my company and not losing her seniority, pay, ect. In my opinion, you don't need unions now a days, majority of the union workers are too greedy and expect a 100 dollar raise with their jobs,I'm a School bus driver, which is a very dangerous job transporting children to school and back to their homes.I am not going to go on strike, just to ask for 29 dollars an hour raise, like the construction workers did here in Illinois for no apparent reason. They make enough already, what more do they want?I think for a job like that,I would demand better benefits just in case fatal accident happens,so that their families won't be left out on the street in the near future.
