Seriously though guys, the title of the thread begins with "unpopular opinions". jjohnwm has offered his unpopular opinion, and for what it's worth an extremely valid one, I agree with him wholeheartedly. Bubble eyed this, shortbodied that, glow in the dark, whatever. Certainly not for me....or John....anyone else?

Oh and John, I believe your prize is being boxed up as we speak. It is a shortbodied albino longfin telescope eyed flowerhorn. And just for extra variety, a male at that, with a nuchal hump bred into it that is the size of a basketball! Lol.

Can I get one of those popeye flowerhorns? I want to start a breeding project with Jags and Butti. Who knows what kind of cool freaks I can charge $1000 bucks a pop for!

Actually, I don't personally like most fancy fish. I just appreciate that they are and have been the foundation of the hobby for many, many years. Different strokes.

Wow. The thread asked for unpopular opinions. Since apparently everybody else thinks hybrids, fancies, etc. are just the greatest thing since sliced toilet paper...and since I am apparently the only holdout who doesn't like 'em...I guess that means that I am the only person who actually provided a truly unpopular opinion. You can notify me by PM how to go about picking up my prize.

So, before the insults become more and more personal, I will refrain from engaging in more "douchebaggery" or "major aquarist mental masturbation"...or, as I prefer to call it, "thinking" about this silly topic...and bow out.
