update on my blacks

How big are yours? Mine is 2.5 inches and is starting to lose his dark color. How do i make my aro as colorful as possible?
 
Thanks. Mine are about 5" now. I have them in a 40breeder. Black sand and black background. I feed them multiple times a day foodsticks.

Lil update. Their orange just keeps getting brighter and brighter. What a difference it has made having them from 2.5-3" vs before getting tone at 6". Looking back a my old vid of my old small black and all its edge trim was yellow and not orange. These I have now are orange all over. Even in their peck fins. I have not seen that often with it in their peck fins.

Moved some fish and put the black trio in my planted filter for my 180gal. They out grew the 40breeder so I gave them a bigger apartment. They are settling in still will post some pics up soon.
