Update on my cats

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Keep us updated on your RTC, I just got my first one last week (gonna let him get a little bigger before puttin him in with my hybrid. My rtc X tsn went from 5" to 9.5" in 4 weeks!

Set up temporary housing for the RTC so I don't have to stress him out every time I check on him.

Pic of RTC is in the lid from am API master kit.

I haven't been monitoring as well as I should but it seems the Planiceps is growing most in length and the hybrid is putting on the most mass. RTC is still healing but is acting healthier and will hopefully start eating more and growing like an RTC should. TSN and niger are both growing a bit slower than the hybrid and Planiceps with the niger being the slowest.

i recommend you to fasten up the growth of tsn or he might be lunch to the rtc . keep the rtc growing in a slower rate like he is now and when all your fish get to around 14 inches. start growing your rtc. although planiceps is larger and growing fast he would not be a problem to your tsn since they cannot swallow as big prey items as the rtc. hybrid has the similar temperament to tsn maybe hybrid can be a little more aggressive. niger should be fine since his got armour and when niger gets to one foot he will be fat. two person in mfk had there planiceps grow 30 inches in the first year

RTC is much smaller than the others right now so no worries with him eating anybody. I'd actually be concerned that the Planiceps would eat him or die trying if I put the RTC in the big tank before he bulks up a bit. Hopefully in a couple months he'll be able to hang with the big boys. For now he's just growing back his fins and whiskers and hopefully getting back on track to being a monster fish someday
