haha, The 100g I had was old probably should have been re-seamed when I got it, I think the fact that it wasn't sitting level caused the leak, it was terrible I lost my black ghost knife because of it, fortunately he was the only loss. don't worry, as long as you put it perpendicular to the joists, a man weights 240pound, and is less then a foot, then what does that mean? house going to collapse? because that's 240psf, no...simply because is only on point of the house, but if you put 40 psf all over the house, then say bye to the house. and this is the part where not many people knows. fridge can weight up to 3000 pounds, and that's only 3 ft, so what? that's more then 500psf, simiply because the structure of house. if you are really worried, put it in the center of your house (center to the beam, not center of the living room) all my friends have tanks around 120G + they put upstairs for many years, nothing happens.
. Your average refrigerator weight between 200 to 400 pounds not 3000. Were talking about an average refrigerator not a huge walk in freezer!
