water changes

Alright. The fins are turning blood-like red at the edges, and it's like disintegrating... is this a process of healing? or is it getting far worse..

Sounds like septicimia... which is bacterial infection...

Prognosis is not looking good..

I would try oxytetracycline. (also know as bifuran)

I think more pic wouldn't hurt... would help us to build a better conclusion.

did you boost the temp and add salt? Do a wc if you haven't done on today. If he's not moving. he's probably not getting alot of O2....could be causing the fin coloring...???

Actually I did. Temperature is about 86-87 ish. I've done 10-20% water changes everyday and I add 5mg of salt for every 5 gallons. I add a bit of epsom salt and melafix too. Oxygen is from a 60 gallon air pump split into 2 tanks. It's O2 is from the sponge filter.

Just provide him comfort with some dim lighting. Try keeping lights off for him if you can to keep him calm. They are tough fish!! Do what you can do and keep vigilant and this guy may surprise you and pull through this mess. May sound silly...i'll be prayin for you guys!!!

My flowerhorn got fin rot when i moved my tank. Quick cure and temp up with a lil salt worked in two days

I have kept the light off. It is next to my 80 gallon (of which i keep the light on) but i covered the 20 with a towel so its dimmed. Thanks, much appreciated though.
