That is exactly what I do. Makes life so much easier. Just hook up the python for cleaning up the debris.

Hoping its just slightly clogged and i can fix it rather than too small of plumbing.AquaDan;2618496; said:I have a question for anyone using the python . Lately Ive been doing water changes with gravel vacs started by a squeeze pump and then connected to a longer hose going to a drain. Then filling from a hose but now the water is too cold during winter. Im looking at buying a python today but my question is if anyone using it has trouble with it pumping water up a level of stairs when draining the tank?? I tried the other day when using my gravel cleaner hooked to 75 ft of pvc tubing to drain through the sink but the flow would get half way up the stairs then stop in a standstill. The water flows fast the way it is now but if it isnt enough to go up the stairs or up in into the sink. Im curious of wether the python would before buying
