A lot of the options I am seeing I was under the impression they would out grow the tank... I would love to do an Umbee solo but I thought it would end up too large and need moved. Pbass and arows grow too big for sure I thought. I appreciate all the suggestions, but I was thinking the max size for a single fish in this tank would probably be around 22" so that it could still turn around comfortably (correct me if I am wrong, not an expert)
I would like some opinions on an Umbee, do you guys think it will fit for life or did the suggestion just get my hopes up. I dont want to make any fish uncomfortable.
Thanks again
Rapps seems to think a 180 is fine for a dovii for life. I'd take his advice over the majority of people on here.
Seems like people go a bit overkill when suggesting minimum tank size on here. It'd be great if we could all keep guppies in our 500 gallon tanks. But there is a "comfortable minimum" for every fish. And for a dovii, I agree with Rapps that a standard 180 is that comfortable minimum for a single male dovii.
But to each their own.
