Wet pet / mini monster?

As of now I'm thinking the Endlicheri is the one I am leaning towards. A buddy in our club is friends with Racheal O'Leary and he sent me one of her vids on the Endlicheri (guess they are one of her fav fish) and she talks in the vid about them being really fast growers for the first two years (up to 18" in 2 yrs) but then they slow down a lot and grow real slow after that from the sounds of it? Looked like her 6-7yr old ones were maybe a tad over 20" or there abouts. So that would work for prob the first 4-5 yrs in the 4x2x2 120 then after that if it ougrows that tank I have other 6ft tanks and even my 240g which I'm sure 5+ yrs from now my cichlids in that tank won't all be still around so I could do the "Fish shuffle" down the road and move things around a bit to get them into the bigger tank.

BTW the local shop that is 30mins away that I was talking about that carries Polypterus, I saw on FB today he's having a 15-30% off Black Friday sale on all fish tomorrow. So looks like I'm headed out there tomorrow to look rather than next week :D

Don't get endlicheri, They aren't very active compared to the polypterus, if you want something your gonna see move, senegals are better, although a bit smaller.
Have you ever kept endlis?

I agree with the wizard! My sens are super duper busy :)

Endlis can work If you like them as well!

Well just got back from the shop about an hour ago. Came home with a new buddy ;) I went there planning on getting the Endlicheri, he had a few of those that were about 4"-5" range, but right up front there was a tank with a 9"-10" Delhazi Bichir in it that I just could not resist. Not only is he really healthy and thick, but he was just the most active bichir he had in the shop. I watched him for probably 30mins and I think he was out swimming around active for probably 95% of that time. So I brought him home with me. I also picked up a small 4" albino Senegal Bichir as well, couldn't pass him up because he was only $10. Got the bigger Delhezi in one of the 120g tanks until his permanent 4x2x2 120g is ready for him shortly. The albino is in a small tank till he puts some more size on.

Here's some pics and a short video of the Delhezi just taken a minute ago. Thanks to all you guys for your help, I never would have thought of a Bichir for this tank without it being suggested here:cool:
