Im a 22year old college student, that works 3rd shift. I have never worked out a day in my life(honestly) and live out of restaurants for the most part. I am overweight...but am trying to eat better. I stopped smoking and have vastly reduced my alcohol intake, and switched over to diet soda, and greatly limit my number of sweets. I figure if I eat what I want...just less of it and try to make some better choices along the way Ill be healthier. Ive lost about 15lbs and a clothing size by changing a thing here or there in the last 2 months. Id say a contributing factor to that has been getting diagnosed and treated for polycystic ovarian disease, its supposidly a contributing factor to weight gain.

Congradulations on working to improve and then actually accomplishing it.. you are very wise to start now and not do it drastically ..but slowly .. i hope you have the ovarian disease behind you.

just wondering also how many people have that silent pent up anxiety..thats what i seem to get if i do not exercise .. i could be calm on the outside but inside sometimes i feel like i have a motor running that i can't turn off.. all this energy but no release..stress .. I consider myself a happy basically optismistic person but who knows if some of us are unconsiously worriers by nature..after all the more responcibilities one takes on the more worry you take on with it.. how many feel like sometimes they are overwhelmed but live to be this way? any tips on relieving this syndrome when you cannot exercise.. or do you just go with it like i often do..Because i do realize that this is a big health issue.. maybe not now but as years pass and you get older. How many people laugh and try to relax on a given day..what helps you relax and what keeps your motivation in check.. just curious how other mFK people deal with everyday life stress..

I run 3.5 miles every other day weight train the other days. I just recently started back up and figured it was time; always worked out just stopped for the last 3 years now I'm back in the swing of things....

When I said I was a far cry from a healthy individual, I rlly meant it. I'm 22 yrs old and I've already had 2 heart surgeries, one when i was 8 months old and another in June of '07, got a valve replaced and part of the Aorta. I'm not allowed to do alot of working out it puts too much strain on my heart, but sometimes I dont listen. I get to eat blood thinners every day!

Do you have to eat a strict diet..you were born with this.. i am thank ful that they were able to help you..you have had way too much for a 22 year old..but bless you for being able to carry on..and i hope everyday will continue to be better..you always have a good attitude..for being through so much..

Muscle Asylum is all junk...nothing but crafty marketing. As for supplements, my routine is pretty simple.

Multivitamin: Animal Pak
Protein: ON 100% Whey or Nitrean
Misc: Muscle Milk (meals on college are rough)

In the past I've taken Cytogainer, True Mass, Noxplod, creatine, and some joint support thing. IMO, the simpler the better. Just eat like a champ and lift like its your job. I'm taking in about 3200 calories and 225g of protein everyday and am putting on clean mass still. Went from a scrawny 145lbs to 190lbs in a little over a year and a half.

pshhhh.
I also take animal pack multi vitamins.
are those pure calories or junk calories? i.e burgers, burritos, or steak, chicken, vegies?
