Tilapia Fillet. just look it up on google.
To elaborate
My bichir's food
Everyday:
-Tilapia
Treat-once week/once 2 week/once month:
-Market Shrimp
-Beef Heart
-Pork Meat
-Basa Fillet
-Smelt
-Small Frogs

My bichirs eat NLS Thera+A in the mornings and in the evenings they have either swai or tilapia. On occasion they get to fight over smelt. If I could find cheap basa fillets then I would use it in my fillet rotation.

And dang Hao, aren't those small frogs expensive to feed to your monster bichirs?

Thats why I put treat-once a week/2 week/a month. ;)

Usually the problem with "monster" fish is to get them started on pellets and prepared dry food. I have not been able to convert my Silver Aro and any of the 4 Gars onto pellets. They only eat sea-food (shrimp, jumbo krill, etc etc).

I got my 8-9 inch Endli a couple of days ago and was a bit anxious about his diet. He would not accept fresh shrimps or fresh Jumbo krill.

When he finally started eating, I was surprised at his choice of food: Hikari Cichlid Gold :D

Now, I may have a problem with a Monster-fish because he only eats pellets and nothing really high-protein like seafood :S

never tried Tilapia or crickets but mine eats krill, shrimp, occasionally rosey, beef hearts and bloodworms

My baby ziggy (senegal bichir) is only 3 1/2" and he lovesssssss beef heart & hikari carnivorous pellets. I haven't given him bloodworms or brine shrimp yet. Frozen of course. But he'll get some this friday since it's bloodworm friday, lol. I try to change up what I feed him and my other fish so they don't get stuck on one food since I have a variety to offer them.
