What fish have your rays killed?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if the ray can cover the full fish they will be at risk as its hard for a fish to get out of the vacum when a ray sucks down

they dont always kill for food they just kill for fun sometimes they just suck out the eyes

mine have kill a few 12" tinfoils

they pulled down a 14" tinfoil the other day no eye missing but gill plate is gone

tiger fish/dats seam to be safe as they pull them down feel the sharp dorsal fin and let them go

Good feedback. Every single occurrence has been at night, not eaten just shredded so it's like a sport or something now. Only the flagtail was missing an eye. It's just crazy because I see so many people keeping eartheaters with rays like it's not an issue for them but me = not so much...

its a natural reaction for the ray i have lost various fish i dont find that more food is the key but keep tank mates that are big and fast such as 12 inch tinfoil barbs or large tiger dats but give them hiding spots to get out the way when they want. I currently keep a 10-12 inch oscar 4x 12 inch tinfols 8-9 inch tiger dat 8-9 inch silver shark 14inch irwin cat and a 12inch stripped dora cat my largest ray is around 14 inch and she regulary pins down the oscar but doesnt hurt it its quite funny because then the oscar turns round and opens his mouth and charges back at her but niether of them leave any marks.

I have never kept rays, but friends of mine do ( only big fish ) and i know of 2 instances where aros were killed.
