What fish have your rays killed?

Lost 8 Geos and Satanaperca Leucostictas in the last year and half. Lost 2 of my new shoal of 5 M. Fasciatus (Tiger $s) just today. Found them when I got home from work.:irked:
Pretty sure the perpetrator is the black females.

I find that only black ray are more aggressive to tank mate and therefore they are easy to feed. My leo even after young ray as well and have ate 2 batch of pups from my marble. I have other motoro, marble, hystrix and they are fine, not aggressive eater like leo or bd.

Hope you got the stingray tankmate scenarios nailed down. If you have another running tank with Geos, and able to add a couple or one 9" Altifron. Have someone in the area that is re-homing fish soon. Good luck on the rays though!

I always do a feed of pellets when the lights are off before igo to bed.
usually around 11-12pm

I think this helps. them not prey on other fish so much when lights are off

Feet long, Justin. Stung to death in both cases.

thats a strange on never seen a fish sung to death by a ray

the aros must have been p[icking on the rays

I have never had any luck with geos and rays either. My big P-bass has been stung twice but survived both times, the worse of the two stings he lost color for a few weeks. All my loses where from my first male motoro he ate everything had never had a problem with any other ray. Couldn't even tell you how many P-bass "where not big enough after all" with him

The following fish were barbed and died.

17 inch tigrinus
17 inch broko bass
24 inch royal clown knife

The following were eaten.

2 broko geophagus
6 frontosa
20+ tinfoil barbs
1 flagtail
4 super red severum
Trio of venustus

I know I am missing some here. Mine were generally eaten at night, but a few were eaten during the day when no one was home. I dont know who the culprit was but I think my male leo/pearl was responsible for most along with prego females.

Here's my list:
- Discus
- Datnoids
- L190
- Haps Cichlids
- Convicts (more like feeder fish anyway)

I think that's all, since then I've been weary of what I put it. They are currently housed with tank makes that are bigger than their mouths and nothing remotely near their mouth diameter.
