Hydro-floric acid is often used (or derivitives there of).
This acid, if splashed upon you or if you accidently expose yourself with a large splash, can bind to the free calcium in your blood stream and effectively put you into cardiac arrest.
Now this is not as implausible as some may think. Yes it would take a significant physical exposure.....just be careful Brother. Wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) and use in a very well ventilated area.

Fish Eat Fish;1818256; said:as a test get some cheap glass and etch a line with some curves down the middle. Apply pressure till it breaks. If it breaks down your etch than you know the etching created a weak point.
