What is your biggest fear in fish keeping?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A Vibrio infection, I used to have some seriously infected, chapped, swollen hands back in my lfs employee days.

Tornado ripping the roof off my room and taking everything inside with it.
It's a valid concern around here.

200+ gallons of water on the wood floor has to be the worse. Having to trust my sump set up.

A power outage when we are out of town. I can deal with it when I'm home.

I think a tank failure that injures a child and potentially could amount to a lot of property damage; not to mention the loss of livestock. I did have a scare a few years back and thought I had picked up a mycobacterium infection, that was pretty scary too. Also if anyone managed to fall into one of my ponds and drowns.

I've never thought about contracting anything from my fish. But I rarely make additions to my stock so maybe that lessens my chances of fish/human illness happening.
But what about your fish undergoing hyper rapid evolution and growing legs, arms, a huge brain and the ability to breathe out of the water... all while you're at work. Then kidnapping all your "primitive" fish and returning them to lakes. He then plots revenge and slowly kills off those you love only to never kill you but leave you with the anguish of lost loves.
Oh and he sets your house on fire before he leaves.
Pretty scary stuff.
