What is your biggest fear in fish keeping?

Hello guys, I am new to the site my name is Rick (Keymaker). But I worry sometimes about me bringing things (Fish, Parasites whatever etc.) to my environment then having the knowledge to quarantine or fix the situation. I am glad you guys are around! One of the best forums I have been apart of keep up the great work MFK!

hello; Many of the things already named are concerns. Several times over the five + decades i have been keeping tanks someone has seen my tanks and been influenced to set up one of their own. Nearly all of these resulted in a bad outcome for the fish.

I use to encourage new people into the hobby, not any more. I now try to discourage most people. Few take the time to learn the needed basics and tend to ignore the warnings.

The cute baby oscar in a 30 gallon tank. The spotted catfish that ate it's tank mates and was thrown into the back yard to die. The "I don't need to do a water change" because I have the biggest filter on the tank. The "I feed my fish several times a day because they beg for food" and so on.

I will help someone already started, but I go heavy on the effort to keep a tank running for those just thinking about it.
