How much more is the 125 set up compared to the 100? If you want a centerpiece for the living room, I'd go with a single larger tank. (For the fish room, I still vote the 6 75s!)

I would have loved to put my 180 in the living room. Its very nice, but it is too big. I would have to remove the TV and my wife isn't going for that.

you could put the tank in front of the tv :)
and just have a fish swim through your show every once and a while lol

Nah sounds like a good idea, but my wife is philipino. She'll cut ya!

I just found out that I will have to wait over 1 month for the stand for my 100 gallon tank. It is 5' long, so a bit unusual. I'm leaning towards just getting another 125 for the living room and getting the 2 75s for the fish room, but price starts getting up there a bit. My wife is weird about what she has in her show areas of the house. She wants a nice stand and canopy that runs about $600 or so. With the tank and taxes etc I'm up to over 1K. I would also need more filters. I could always put my aq110s on the tank, but i would prefer a wet dry for that size of tank. Hell I guess I'm still not sure. Thats alot of coin to drop during christmas time.

why not build your own stand and canopy? It is far cheaper, and do it to match the home more.

Yeah Mike I thought about it, but I don't have the carpentry skills like you indy guys. Hell I'm terrified to make a crappy looking double stand for 2 100 gallon tanks.

I prefer larger tanks, but get what you can afford, let us know.

It's not terribly difficult if you're thinking about doing the solo stand for your living room tank. No idea how to do a double stand though. I haven't needed it yet, so I haven't worried about it.

I decided not to make a stand. I bought one for about 250 bucks. I will post pics later.
