I don't lose money because I bred most my guppies. I don't think that mum will do the whole fish cyclical thing and I already wasted ALL my pocket money on that pond! Is it safe to wash and re use the decorations and plants that were in the pond?

After reading this thread your ignorant. Everyone said don't use the pond becauss of the liner . If you choose to use it your fish will die cut your losses because you obviously don't care about your fish since their 'free" because you bred them so your willing to take there life because of your stupidity and ignorance. Seriously do it the right way or give your fish away.
I was crying all night last night, I wanted help but there is nothing I can do. Can't ANYONE understand that? I lost everything last time something like this happened and lost the fish I prized most. My very first fish glossy. The guppies are dieing and the no one knows what to do. The sisters: their mother died yesterday. The twins: The smallest died today. I wish I never got them but do you know something? This would have NEVER happened if they hadn't given me two guppies. Glossy gave birth and the whole fishy race started. I just want HELP not everybody telling me that i'm not doing enough. I cut my hand but still worked on that pond. They don't SELL pond liner in the country and i can switch tanks because the goldfish outgrew their tank. No room for another.
I'm going to say unless you know exactly what type of chemical may have been used on that liner and how to clean it off properly, it maybe best to just buy a new one that you know is fish safe...
The only reason i'm saying this is because if you don't know what chemicals were used, there is no way to it is even water soluble, which if that is the case, you could in theory soak it for years and it would still be toxic to your fish when once again used as a pond liner...

If you can't house a fish you shouldn't own it plain and simple. The most you could do is put a tarp over it but it will look stupid and their will be a Chance of it ripping. Trust me I know all about parents not wanting tanks but instead of parents It was my fiances I begged her for months to let me get a redtail Catfish. She finally gave in and let me keep it in a 20 long. A week after. I got the fish I talked her into a 180. Now I'm talking her into letting me setup a pool with a few more redtails.
How do you think I got my betta and goldfish? Whatever was in that liner messed up the Ph balance of the pond. No fish safe liners around here. My garden is too small for a pool. Last time she got a tank it was for the betta. So no way she is buying a tank for a bunch of fish she wants to get rid of. She loves them but they die so quickly. I have asked her of 2 YEARS and she still say no.
Ha Ha! I can see moms face if I came home with 100 goldfish! Hmm... That would be an interesting thing. My LFS is too far to walk. Mom always goes with me. I doubt she will not notice a huge bag full of goldfish. Five is already enough. Now if I could get some fish that grow big and get the the fish man to shut up and not tell her that... No she will go on at me saying that "You should have let him tell us" Bla bla bla. I get scared of big fish too. But a phantom fish would be nice if that stupid fish man didn't tell her how much they grow.
