i once went fishing with my cousins fishing pole and got the line stuck in a tree or something while trying to unhook the hook, the top piece of my pole fell off and ended up losing it because the line snapped. then after a week or 2 i came bak to the same spot and was jus fishin around and ended up pulling the top piece of my other lost pole. it was a weird coincidence

caught my self, caught my boat, caught a dock, caught a crab trap, caught a 6 inch lady fisah in a monster hook -.-... and caught a aligator

At the pier in PCB a guy caught another guy's rod with the kingfish still attached.

The weirdist thing i caught was a purple/blue color sea star, it would not let go of the piece of shrimp on the hook...

a dragon fly

a dragon fly

I did that before fly casting then a bluegill ate it off the popper

Have only fished in small lakes in the middle of Alberta, Canada so I have limited experience.
Fishing line with a nice hook still on it.
Caught the dog (was trying to fetch the hook).
Caught the cat (was loading rod into car and it grabbed the bare leader)
Caught my Dad, Uncle, Grandpa (typical for a 6yr child)
Caught my line in the motor prop
When I was 7 a 40" Northern pike almost dragged me off of the boat, it was literally dragging me - my Mom came to my rescue.
My dad thought he caught a log, but it turned out to be a 5' pike which was missing one eye - they dragged into the boat with a landing net and one hell of a fight.
My teacher was fishing for trout in a stream and accidentally snagged a beaver that was swimming submerged. 40lb beaver and 12lb line don't mix so well.

Half of the head of a largemouth bass... then i witnessed another angler 20 feet away reel the rest of it in. The bass took both of our lures and we pulled it apart. Oops.

Then another time i put a 2 inch shiner on the hook and casted it and the second it hit the water a small bird went for it and after seeing a drowning bird an 8 pound bass gulped it down. I reeled them in and when i got them out of the water i realised the bass wasn't hooked so i tried to pull the bird out of the bass's throat (bad idea). I got the bird out but the bass's throat was mangled by the bird and it was bleeding profusely. I let the bird and the bass go and kept fishing. 10 minutes later what washes up on shore? My bass. Oops
