WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST FISH?

I had a 15 gallon with some goldfish, for many years as well as bettas. I was always afraid of going into more than goldfish as I was afraid of the heaters breaking or whatever. But about 4 years ago my dads friend gave us a 55 gallon tank with 2 oscars in it. Learned some lessons quick, but now 4 years later I have 4 tanks going and I keep learning every day.

My first fish was the Goldfish. My parents kept about 6 of them in a 10 gallon tank. Little did they know, that's a big NO NO!!!
Not suprisingly, they started killing each other. I started back up into the hobby about 2 years ago. Now I have alot of big tanks with alot of fish.

I found a tank in an abandoned rental property with a "dead" betta in it, then picked it up and the betta sprang to life. He didn't eat for a few months then he lived a couple years after that.

goldfish for me. well actually, my first fish kept in captivity (not in a tank) were regular perch in a rubbermaid tub. These were caught when i was about 8 years old and kept there for a couple of days untill they died cuz of the water... first fish kept in an aquarium were 4 goldfish who lived for ages!!

my dad had a 75g when i was growing up so what ever he had but mine had to be a betta in a 10g with a commen pleco about 7 years ago

well, my first fish was a rapheal and a unidentified synodontis 3-4years ago. still have them. they came with the 55 i bought. I just was in a pet and garden store, my mom was ge\tting plants, i walked into the fish section. I liked the shovelnosed cats, large cichlids, and the sevs, but the thing that get me, was the dragon goby. Afteri saw that, i worked all summer and got a 55. My other first fish were a bunch of live bearers and a blue crayfish. he blue cray ate them, so i desided i needed tougher fish. I go to the store, and they descide to sell there tubby $50 e-cat, for $10 to get rid of it. Mine was great.:( died a year later. The ironic thing about the dragon goby, is, now i have 1 that is a healthy 10", and it bores the crap out of me.
The rapheal is 6" fat and happy, and my favorate. my mom claims that my synodontis is hers for some reason

A guppy when I was 7. A fish store would discard unsold fish by dumping them in the parking lot out back. Me and my brother scooped out some fish and took them home. My brothers fish was a cory. He was also 7.
