What was your first fish?

my first fish was a blue male betta fish in a betta vase named Chelio after the fish from Pinnacio(anyone remember that fish???) it was when i was 7 then i kept upgrading him and took excelent care of him but when he moved to his 10 gallon castle the filter killed him by sucking him up:cry: :cry: he lived a total of 3 years befor the evil filter killed him lol
i got my first tropical fish the next day :2 black mollies which turned out to be pregnant so i bought another tank for the babies and so my "fish fever" grew....
 
i started out keeping natives, but my first store boughten fish was my (at the time 13" florida gar). he is now right around 18" and doing great!
 
Started with a Black Moor, bug-eyed dual tail GF, and 3 freshwater flounders. I thought the Moor looked cool, & my sister got me the flounders, because the first fish I ever caught was a flounder (I was like 3 or 4 yo)..

As far as how long they lasted, or how much I learned. well that was back in in Nineteen seventy something, & I learned I can't remember that far back.
 
i started with a red tiger oscar in a 5 gallon, 2 1/2 years ago. he is still around and is about 10". but is no longer in the 5 gallon. its amazing what you learn in such a short time.
 
When I was little my brothers and I had 3 goldfish. One for each of us lol.
Poor things first they lived in a fish bowl then they got moved into a 10 gallon tank. The one goldfish we had for 9 years.
 
I had 2 fancy goldfish in a plastic 1 gallon hex with a bubbler, upgraded to a 10 gallon, they lasted like 3-4 years.
 
People this should of been a poll....Goldfish was my first fish....Oscars was my first MonsterFish....ROCK ON:headbang2:headbang2
