What would it take?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
id only quite a while because some of these fish will be approaching the double digits in a few years and that would just piss me off if they died.

well i have had the tank break, down to no water but got home just in time to save the lil fishes.

i would have to start over its the best hobby yo do you know hehe

The fish that got me in the hobby (my Gold Saum, or my 'prize fish') is blind in both eyes after a bout with popeye and I will be putting him down in the next day or two. After this happens I will be closing down my 55, which is my largest tank, so I guess you could consider it getting out of the monster hobby for awhile. (It is the largest tank as I am still in school and move often.)

prized fish.--- id take a deep breath and save another GSP from wal mart lol

lost job-- 8th grade isnt a job so thats nuthin

tank leaked- my biggest has no fish yet so it just be a plant loss, unless i get water in it fast enough (few hours and they should still be ok lol

What would it take right now for you to simply say, "I give up, Im outta here!" to this hobby?

What if...

your most prized fish died?:(

you lost your job?:irked:

you came home and your biggest tank sprung a leak and emptied out?

your significant other accidentally killed your entire collection?

Would you start over? Take a break? Leave for awhile?

1) well, if my most prized fish died - i'd just get another one.

2) if i lost my job - i'd just get another one.

3) if my biggest tank sprung a leak - i'd just get another one (or if money was a problem i'd start doing alot of cheap DIY fixer uppers ;) ).

4) if my GF killed all my fish - i'd just get another one! lol

J/K about #4!...well, she's the whole reason i got back into this hobby and she actually bought me my "most prized fish" ..i know that if any "poop" hit the fan she'd be there to help out 100%..:D

The only thing that could get me out of the hobby is my death.

as long as my tank didn't take a ***** and the fish just died i would be cool and move one get bigger better fish but if the tank goes on me then i'm out for awhile till i can buy something better stonger faster lol like 500gal worth of bigger

If I had only 1 tank for example, a 300G that was smashed by thugs and destroyed my house with the water damage, I would fix everything first and sort it out before I brought another. After that, I would probably go a bit bigger. I could never fully quit.
