What if...

your most prized fish died?:(

My most prized fish died late last year, my 13.5" Red Tiger Oscar. I raised him from barely an inch, that fish was my baby. I gave away all my other fish years ago and only kept him.

After he died, I decided to expand my collection and keep some fish I never have before. I now have a renewed interest in the hobby, and I'm enjoying it.

Tanks have broke, I've been poor, fish have died, and I'm still in love with the hobby!

1) well, if my most prized fish died - right now my jar is what i like the most and if something happens to him(god forbid), i will move all of my jewel chiclids in his tank and get some more jewels .

2) if i lost my job - i haven't started working as of yet, still in college you see, but if i get a job and then i lose it i always can work at my dads factory as i work now but for a lower wage that is i guess.

3) if my biggest tank sprung a leak - the biggest are 180g and he 95g tanks i have on the third floor, which is he library in he house and i can't even imagine he destruction, but then my parents will disown me following the disaster, but then again i still have the other 2 ponds and the 3rd pond in the making.

4) if my GF killed all my fish - not gonna happen as i never have left her near my tanks unsupervised.

all in all i believe where there is a will there is a way

I don't know... If my 100G exploded randomly. Actually, it would take that compiled with the fact that the water ruined my Wii. That would be too much to handle!

Probably if my house was destroyed by a earthquake, while I was on a trip to the Sahara desert, and I was unable to return home due to passport issues, and I had to live with desert nomads for the rest of my life, I would quit. Other than that...I think I could bounce back from just about anything.

If i lost all my fish.. i would not be in the hobby anymore.. i would get into something different to forget my broken heart..

What would it take right now for you to simply say, "I give up, Im outta here!" to this hobby?

What if...

your most prized fish died?:(

you lost your job?:irked:

you came home and your biggest tank sprung a leak and emptied out?

your significant other accidentally killed your entire collection?

Would you start over? Take a break? Leave for awhile?

All of the above has happened. Number 1 and 3 at the same time.

I got a new one. I got a new job. I rushed out and got a new tank within the hour. I bought new fish. Im in it for life.

if my most prized fish died i'd be come what sad, but then again he/she (7 inch GT) is the source of all evil, so it would be a stalemate and i'd be able to stock my 55g. lol
as far as i job i dont have one, the perps of being a teenager.
and as far as your tank leaking, that happened about a week before i join the forum, i lost my talapia thank god it was still young :P i fixed the tank and everything is a okay.
