again i go back to the vas majority of people who have had there 360's for 3+ years and never had a problem ... so say what you want about RROD .. but its not a common problem anymore ..

and the ONLY thing that the PS3 has over the 360 is the Blu Ray .. which i do love ...

the games are 100% irrelevant because most games are for both systems .. and the rest are based on what you like .. not what anyone else likes ..

also ... 360's has higher resolution on there games over all .. so thats another plus for the 360 ... but i cannot tell much of a difference even on my 51" tv ..

but the OP was about the 360 .. NOTHING about the PS3 ... and as far as that goes .. i would get new slim because the big hard drive and built in wireless ..

there is never a winner in the PS3 vs 360 fight .. so ... GIVE IT UP!!!!!!

want decent support, search for the amount of failures ps3 vs xbox 360. Ive been through 3 360s. still on my first ps3. The ps3 is hands down a better system. And i saw someone posted earlier abou the noise level of the new elite...WRONG still super loud and still vulnerable to rrod, just shows up a different way than in a red ring. You do what you want, but unless you like spending money on something over and over and over again with repetative failure, buy a ps3. This guy is somewhat right though. The reason I suggest ps3 to this guy is to hopefully keep some jingle in his pocket in the long run, he posted something wanting opinions....opinions are just what hes getting. some being better than others...in my opinion.

See smpage, this is an example of a post that isn't a complete waste of time. Some of his points weren't 100% accurate, but at least he didn't just say "ps3 is better" and leave it at that.

Ok you start by sayin rrod of death is not a common ploblem anymore, well thats wrong...google it and look at the statistics of failures of 360s happening NOW. You say bluRay is the only thing ps3 has over ps3, again, wrong. This is just one of the many advantages. Never have to worry about batteries in your controllers dying with the ps3 because the blutooth controllers feature lithium ion rechargable batteries and all the consoles come with a recharge cable. The 360 is now wireless...hooray!!! this is something the ps3 has had all along, built in wifi, a 100 dollar advantage vs 360 btw. That resolution deal your talking about with 360 vs ps3 with all due respect, is pure crap and purely speculation from your point of view, NO support to this. Ps3 also has a built in web browser which the 360 is yet to have. The ps3 is also FREE to play online, sony feels since youve bought the game, no reason to pay to play it. The 360 is also as everyone knows a super loud system, you cant even tell the ps3 is on. That new slim is by far quiet, sounds just like the old system. Bluray isnt the Only advantage you see, just one of the MANY. Theres plenty more i havent listed, just look up and compare the 2 systems/ I also understand what the thread was about, it was asking which one we thought he should get. Oh yeh there is no fight to be had about which system is better 360 or ps3, its more like a beatdown...but hey you dont have to listen to me, research the 2 consoles, see which has more features, which has the highest fail rate. Also im not like most who will say one system is better because i only have one that leaving my opinion totally one sided. I have owned 3 xbox 360s, all have failed, even the ones that were sent to microsoft and were assured not to have the problem again. I have only had one ps3, thats all ill need. I have also done tons of research abou the overall value of each system, and its always a huge win for the ps3. Also if this had only happened to me i would not totally shoot down 360s, but, you see all of my friends have had failures with 360s as well as the countless people ive spoken to who where complete strangers with the same problem as my own.

But hey, I'm merely trying to save you a buck, If you want go out and spend 300 or more bucks on something that has a huge fail rate, go right ahead. Thats one good thing about america, you can do what you want. Im merely trying to save you some time, money , and heartache, based on tons of research, countless testimonials, and personal experience. If you feel comfortable putting that much money into something that more than likely will fail, go ahead, some people have money to blow like that...I do not.

YOU are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off 1) PS3 wont be free soon enough, reports from numerous magazines have confirmed this. 2) How can 360 have the highest fail? who is above buys? i think xbox. and online gaming started with HALO where did halo start? xbox. 3) Xbox Slim has this feature. 4) that you soon have to pay to use 5) wait so your saying nothing should break down? 6) looks like you have't down enough reserch if you still think ps3 is better and last what games do you guys have that are orginal PS3 games?
