What's your level and why?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I keep mine about 1.5 inches from the top, so that my gar can grab air from the surface easily without hitting his beak on the glass cover.

I keep all but my 180 full to above the trim, The 180 has about an inch and a half out because i have an aro in that tank and im a worry wart:nilly:

My tank is 90 percent full. I leave 3 inches off the top because I am breeding mystery snails. So far I have full blacks, full yellows, half & half, turtle yellows with black spots, turtle greys with black spots, and full greys (not that I know how I got full greys, or turtle greys as I have been, until recently, been breeding yellows with blacks).

Each of my 15 tanks has different needs.
most are full past trim,no water line.
I have 2 or 3 that are lower.....
one cause I have a large clown knife and it gulps air.
(would smacks it's head on the hood)
the others are Red Devil Breeders and they fight & Splash water...:screwy:
I was walking by my new pair of Devils and noticed the water was rocking back and fourth like waves in the Ocean.....LOL
That is why I keep their tanks down a few inches.(I fill for photos though)

I have seen some nice tanks that only had a few inches of water.
