Heres some pics of both variants from Costa Rica. First five shots are of the wild blue male from rio higueron and the rest are of the yellow wild male from Rio Heredia.

The last 6 are heredia , also depends on who the parents are, like mine and flowerpowers wild heredia dovii's have extreme blue, yellow based, black, light green. very colorful fish bro you can't go wrong trust me. Where are you going to get your fry from?Ripdevil;4511032; said:
Here are some updates of my Costa Rican that I started the thread with. I will say there color can vary greatly from the same specimen. There mood/attitude and lighting angles can really bring out the blues and golden color.....sometimes his planks even look to be reddish. Some of these posted are to try and show his colors. He's a pain to get a good pic of.
My little male is in my Avatar. He's grown about 1" and has really colored up so I need to get another picture up really badly.

If you bought it as a Nicaraguan dovii then it probably is one, no? Where did you get it?
