So the motaguense and RTM is the same fish?
Well, I decided against my better judgement and let the fish pick me instead. I went back to the lfs I found yesterday and approached each tank that had a mortaguense for sale. Three tanks. Three fish. Two hid behind the filter pipes and went almost black, but the third, once again, came right up to me as if to say " check me out". Much lighter fish than the other two with much prettier markings. Very little red but lots of purple. Not sure if it's really a motaguense after all, but it was the nicest looking and most personable of the three.
I'm taking a few pics now. She's ( I think ) settling into the qt tank now. I'll post after dinner.....

If it's a female, it won't have lots of purple. Female Motaguense are like the one I posted previously....lots of yellow and orange.
