which tarantula should i get?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ok here is the new list, i have included scientific names on all that i dared:

Chilean rosehair, grammostola rosea
brazilian black, grammostola pulchra
greenbottle blue, chromatoplema cyaneopubescens
brazilian black and white, braziliopelma colloratvillosum
chaco gold stripe, grammostola pulchripes
mexican fire leg, brachypelma boehmei
common pinktoe, avicularia avicularia
martinique pinktoe, avicularia versicolor
so of thoose ones which one?
i listed chaco goldstripe but cant find anything on it? yet again where can i find info on that species? also i know the greenbottle blues can be moody but its humidity and temperature requirements are identical to what is allready in my house, so is the rosehairs and a few others but that doesnt matter too much, i allready have the lights and stuff to raise the humidity and temperature if needed along with gauges/thermometers. thnx again guys.

I love the rosehairs and fire legs. Not too fancy but always cool as the other side of the pillow.

ok.
the books i have on hold are
Tarantulas and other arachnids
and The Tarantula keeper's Guide
both are Barrons so they dont list the authors on the website. are theese good books to get? if not what are some good ones?
also i have been watching lots of expertvillage videos on T's on youtube.

what about also metallic pinktoe, Avicularia metallica?

cobalt blue aaahhhh gorgeous!!

my rep shop has a spider room...pretty amazing.

brazilian blacks, grammostola pulchra are docile and rarely flick their urticating hairs you :)

Totally agree with the G.pulchra,or G.pulchripes.Really nice, docile spiders that grow to a good size.I cant understand why people obsess about Goliaths when Chacos grow huge, and can be seen and handled.

chaco care is relatively similar to a rosehair, the main diff. is that chaco's get much larger and can be a bit more timid than rosehairs. Just watch new spiders because we got an adult female at work and she was a bit on the thin side and had an over-the-top feeding response, This was the only time i've had an attempted bite with a chaco was when she was hungry and latched onto my hand when I touched her (let go as soon as she realized what had touched her and never used her fangs). Great spiders but make sure you have a spot to hide and items for the T to cover in a web because they love to cover everything and you shouldn't have any problems.

ok should i narrow down the list a little more?
if so then
chaco gold knee grammostola pulchripes
greenbottle blue chromatopelma colloratvillosum
martinique pinktoe avircularia metallica or
brazilian black grammostola pulchra
so which of the 4?
