which tarantula should i get?

I've kept a. avicularia and avicularia versicolor, both are gorgeous but tend to be jumpers when handled and need high humidity, I've also kept grammastola rosea and grammastola pulchra, both of which I love and recommend as beginner spiders. The only brachypelma smithis I've dealt with have been at the shop I work at and were hair flickers when we got them but calmed down pretty quick.

ok so i am now leaning towards either chromatopelma colloratvillosum or grammostola pulchripes, pulchra, or rosea. so which one? i did some more research and an avicularia sp. just probably wont work for me.

Chaco golden knee or Mexican red legs are my favorites. Anything pink toe is also great but more geared towards beginner arachnophiles.

also, Avics tend to have more males than females, the last 5 Aviculara metalica have been male which is aggravating. Maybe I just have bad luck...

ok snakeguy if you say dont go avicularia then i will take you advice!
so between a greenbottle blue and a chaco which one? also could maybe do the brazilian black.

I didnt say dont go Avics, I said expect a male that doesnt live as long. but like I said, I don't have good luck with getting a female. Otherwise, they are awesome spicers. Out of the 2 you gave though, I would say Chaco, they are worth the few extra bucks IMO. Very cool big spiders.

ya i can get chaco for $50 sexed juvis, 2" legspan, or greenbottle blue sexed juvi 1-2.5" legspan for $70. are thoose good deals? and i want a female correct?

Yeah those are about average retail prices. And yes, go for a female, they live MUCH longer than males and get larger as well.

sweet. so now its greenbottle blue versus chaco gold knee. im going to the lfs tommorrow. ill post what i find out tommorrow. i am liking the looks of the greenbottle but the habits of the chaco.
