Which Vieja and why?

Yours looks great! Colors are amazing on these fish for sure. My wife and daughters pick hands down.

Get whatever you like, their behavior doesn't vary too drastically between species. Always good to keep the wife and kids happy.

lol Im trying to find a decent sized Bocourti right now. Largest i can find is 3"


Lots of larger argentea around. My lfs has a stunning 7-8" male. Cichlid Connection has just about every size for a little cheaper, but I gotta figure shipping in. Dan has big blackbelts but no Bocourti and small argentea.

I thought the same thing, then I saw Mo's pic and the oohs and ahhs started. Lol I never even really considered synspilus..... Till now

so funny you mention Regani..........

the Bocourti is out of the mix and heres why. The family likes the Synspilium better than the Bocourti. I like the Bocourti a lot too, but theres something about the color of the syspilium that we all really like. It's my wifes pick......and has become the replacement for the Bocourti.......


so, which Vieja?

That's funny, I was looking for which Veija to go with and add color to my tank, and my wife likes the synspilus as well. I have two 5-6" red/blue head veija synspilus male and female coming in Tuesday from Gage..

Gage is who I've pretty much narrowed it down to for me too. He has all the available fish we are looking at and he's about an hour and a half from my house. Shipping should be nothing.......

I really like the sysnpilus a lot too. Very colorful fish. Best of luck with yours. Cant wait to see them in your tank.....
