oh jose i'm not taking sides, i'm just pointing out bobby's story basically implied one fish poked a hole in a bag and the story ended with all bags being destroyed as well as the box. That's his fault if you feel there's holes in his story, haha

guess you are in the 10%,and yes i have seen pack before(not this package,but othersduring a few trips to his place)you can try and make me seem how ever u want,but you trusted him also and has done business with him before,so now when one shipment goes wrong(due to alot of different things happening)now u want to blast him,(when u yourself have been a satisfied customer for a while)u have every right to be upset,but take it up withthe vendor,carrier etc and see if it can be worked out. i have lost shipments from several vendors on here and i always try and handle it with them.no ones going to always ship with 100% ,just the nature of the business. you asked for opinions but then get mad when mine dont agree with u. i stand by my statements (only because i have seen his packing first hand)and those photos does not look like any thing i have seen him pack or received from him in a shipment,but as i said before that is my opinion.
Sorry bout your loss. Definately the shippers fault. If the fish had been boxed and bagged properly, then theres no reason any of them should have leaked. Very poor shipping! Even with the delay they should have made it, if care had been taken.

but enough of your assumptions based on pics, I can tell you HE DID package it personally as I have talked to him on the phone. DEAD END !! as the thread reads he puts all responsibility on the carrier which I don't agree with. Check my track record b4 posting more of your assumptions. I have NEVER received a shipment from Ira but have only recommended him to some WC buddies but those days are long gone. Now that my story has surfaced you'd be surprised how many others there are.

Even if one bag did get a hole there should still not be enough room for bags to be flying all over while in transit which in return would then jeopardize the rest of the shipment. Like posted above this is not the 1st incident but I guess it just takes someone who will speak up to make everyone aware. Wether or not you do business with him is your choice.

My fish were indeed double bagged. I guess they should have been triple bagged. But where do you stop in lieu of excess? There's always things that could have been done better or things that can go wrong. But... you live and learn I guess.
And yes, all of the bags were destroyed. Once the box got wet, everything went downhill from there.

thats fine you are intitled to your opinion,but why recommend someone you dont do business with than bash them when something goes wrong,when you did not know how he did business in the first place,thats like recommending a restaurant that u never ate at,then get mad when someone else tells u the food was not good. i personally only recommend vendors i have done business with,if i never did business with them than i dont recommend and i difenantly dont go around blasting vendors for one thing that went wrong.If thats the case i should blast alot of vendors on here,but i am not a child annd know that in the real world nothing is 100%

I've dealt with a bunch of leaks - many gars come my way and they are bag biters - I've had the dripping box, the huge plastic bag by the carrier to stop the water, the whole mess. Never lost a fish, though, because styrofoam should keep water pooled enough that there is always an inch or two.
Must have been severely boxed wrong for all the water to get out. That or someone at the shipping facility took a hatchet to it.
