I used to clean the floors after work at a local fruit store, and i was cleaning with the huge floor cleaner and a cable got caught in the wheels and snapped it a little bit. so i bent down and tryed to get the cable out and BAM! shocked my whole body, i was like wtf? so i went down and touched it again lol.

Stupidity, it hurt more the second time for some reason and my hande were wet at the time from the water on the ground.

Wasn't there a Simpson's episode where Homer gets zapped over and over again attempting the same thing on the same live wires? Doh! :grinno:

Not by fish stuff, but was playing around in a bulb socket, cos the bulb wouldn't go in.

The light was still on :shakehead

same thing happened to me. wasn't the most shocking thing that's ever happened to me though.

hahahaa

havent been zapped by my fish stuff yet "knock on wood" but I have been zapped plenty of other times on construction sites, workign at a wire reseller, messing around as a child.

never been taken out of commission by one but have gotten burns. have learned that gloves are worth their weight in gold when dealing with anything electrical and anytime I suspect an item of havign an issue I replace it.

I also have a neoprene wetsuit with gloves that I occasionally used when dealing with the tanks. I will especially be doing so when i get the salt tank setup next year.

Hmm lets see...
I got zapped once by a disposable camera when my bro ripped the back off it and i tried to grab it from him lol.
My single bulb flourescent system that i use along with my t5 system for the sw tank fell in the water once and now has salt coating the metal on switch so whenever i touch the switch i get a little zap.
Before i knew about drip loops (a very long time ago) when i had unplugged my powerhead for some reason and i tried to plug it back in some water got in the socket And i got a painful shocl.

lol i got zapped a few times installing ceiling fans and light fixtures all from either being lazy to take of main breaker(thinking im such a pro), forgetting to take of main breaker(no brain), and from residual power left in the wire(well how could i know) lmao...Oh yea i also did once stick a screw driver into a wall socket with switch off, lmao it got welded to the socket lmao then the breaker tripped in like 1second lol thank god for plastic handles.... i guess i love the vibrating sensation that goes through your body...

I guess I've been lucky :D

No fish tank related zaps for me...yet. *knocks on wood*
I'm always nervous when gravel vaccing near the heater (or moving decorations for that matter). I usually keep everything plugged in when I'm doing maintanence/water changes....but I'll unplug the heater if I need to move it or reposition/etc it.

Though, I was fortunate enough to watch a LFS employee get zapped a couple years back :grinno:
