Who's been electrocuted?

Only once was I shocked by a heater about 10 years ago. I think it was a cheap one from Wal-mart or something, but I have been electrofishing. Chances are if you've ever been electrofishing, you've been shocked. My worst electrofishing shock was dealt by a member of this site who will remain nameless ("No it doesn't still shock when it's out of the water, come get this catfish that's stuck on the probe" :irked: )

Then there was the Christmas lights-that one actually knocked me down-the electric weed-wacher cord that someone ran over with the weed-wacker-more of a burn than anything-and the disposible camera flash capacitor-that one HURT, couldn't feel basically my entire arm for several hours.

i dont think its possible to own fish and not have gotten zapped. just comes with the territory. i got zapped a lot by those damn NAN lights. heaters too

Got nailed by an old Hush 1 by metaframe. This was in about 1970 so you old timers know that tank had a slate bottum and was purchased from S&H green stamps.LOL

You know, I totally forgot. My mom was hit by a heater in the early 70's. She worked at a petstore that didn't have their heaters grounded. She was charged with cleaning out the fish tanks, and had no idea until she was hit so hard that she fell to the floor and had to crawl her way over to the phone for help. My dad said her legs were black and blue for weeks on end.
now im really scared, how do you ground a heater?

I got jolted last night changing a bulb on a Coralife T5. The switch was off. I had to unplug it to change the bulb. Perhaps the switch only cuts off current to one side. Also, electrocution involves death. I doubt that anyone who has been electrocuted will be posting here.

more times than i can count with 110... most of that was fish related.. im real good at hanging the plug over the edge of the tank so i dont step on the prongs and then just plugging it back in..

ive kissed by 208 and 230 on a almost monthly basis for the last 4-5 years ..

ive had a screwdriver blown in half while holding it while working with 460.. i learned quick on that one and i no longer work with that stuff live...

oddly ive never been zapped while licking a 9v battery like almost every person on the planet has...

a 9v is more of a tingle then a zap :P

i got it one time trying to turn a lamp on >.<

i was running my hand around it trying to find the switch and found the problem instead when i stuck my finger into the empty lightbulb socket, it was already on
