Why are these being sold????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
And now that I know that I may not have been sensitive to others feelings on that subject, I'll seriously attempt to use the quote function from here on in. It seems to have caused Carp some angst as well. All good.

I never even thought about the alert function as being an issue, old school Frank, and old habits die hard. Sneaky? LMAO My apologies, I also didn't know that a post on an open public forum would be considered sneaky.
Nah no need to apologize. Just wanted to remind you. You did it with the below post.Screenshot_20190202-122922_Chrome.jpg

If you hit quote it sends the member an alert letting them know their post was quoted and allows them the opportunity to respond if they aren browsing a thread. Glad i could assist !

When you make an attempt to always get the last word on a public forum without letting the other person know, that can be perceived as sneaky.

Thanks Frank, it's not like I didn't know how to use the quote function, I've been using the internet for a few odd years now. lol I just didn't think it was a big thing. Is there anything else that you would like to bring up from the past? Maybe I didn't dot an eye, or cross a tee, sometime in the past 12 yrs of posting on this forum? lol

Carp, in case you weren't aware, if you have the option ticked off, anytime that someone makes a post in a topic that you have posted in, at any time over the years, MFK will notify you. For the overly anal MFK will even notify you via email with the original text, if you so choose. That way you can even tell if the comment has been edited, or not.

No need to use the quote function, to trigger such an alert. Sneaky? Not hardly.

The XenForo alerts system alerts users for the first reply or two to a watched thread, but it will not continue to send alerts unless that thread is viewed. You to me that there was a "specific reason" for you to quote posts manually, and I don't think that an old habit constitutes to a "specific reason", considering that using the built in quoting function is less time consuming, and that the location if the quite button in the editor has changed since the old vBulletin days. Manually quoting posts so users are not alerted may be subtle, but it is manipulative nonetheless.

misconception/fear/un education has led to our fish being blanketed into the same catagory as all the animals you listed... its ridiculous. they ran out of mammals to ban... whats next? when will next stop?
You don't think tigers should be banned or wolves?
