LOL, I have no idea WTF you two idjits are talking about. Now allow me to offer you both another option, one where the Twilight Zone won't enter - if my comments trouble you to this extent - USE THE IGNORE FEATURE. That way you won't see anything that I post. lol

The only thing I hate more than invasive species, are cry babies.

Your posts don't trouble me personally, but what troubles me is to see you use these tactics of manipulation on others.

Lmaooo the ignore feature is great. Its like a magic troll begone button. I used it last week for the 1st time. Oddly the clown member that i ignored stopped posting to a certain thread, as soon as i unignored him he immediately began posting a gain... crazy right.

I kept monsters when I was a kid. I had 5 carp in a bucket, then in a 5G tank....I didn't even buy them in an aquarium shop. They were bought for dinner and were still alive so I decided to "save" them....I wish someone had stopped me....

It's been 30 years since, and the things that have stopped me from doing the same mistake again is the memory of those fish dying and after that educating myself into the proper care of fish.

I still haven't been able to afford a space big enough for big monster fish...I think that big monster fish keepers must be either rich or mad....I once read that the highest number of psychopaths are found among fish keepers and people in managerial positions.. :)

Since then I ask myself if I am one of those that likes torturing animals under the pretense of taking care of them....

The line has been drawn with other animals
I can keep a cat but not a tiger.
I can keep a dog but not a wolf
I can keep a budgie but not an king vulture
I can keep a betta and a 7 foot predatory arapaima?
Which is the odd one out?

Let's put it that way...

How many cats has a cat lover killed?
How many dogs has a dog lover killed?
How many fish has a fish lover killed?

The reasons i cant keep those animals is because they can eat me not because of their size. Big difference. 7 foot predatory fish isnt going to crawl out of the tank and create havoc

Sure about that my friend? ;)

But again I'm not personally saying Arapaima should be banned, just that one would be well advised/educated to have a suitable sized pond (and not be stupid enough to get in the water and try and net it :) ) I would also maintain that it's in no way a beginner's fish nor should they be encouraged to jump right in (literally or figuratively) with such an amazing beast.

Yeaahh trying to net an arapaima is a little different than my tiger escaping and eating my neighbors.

I absolutely agree with you. Nothing wrong with education.

Tbh im confused why are we stuck on the education thing ?
