Well...I've never owned an RTC but I've seen them and heard that they get over 3 feet and eat anything that fits in their mouth. So is it wrong to say they need a 400g+ tank when fully grown vs. the 20gallon he's currently in?

I have watched tons of threads on here from asking questions to arguing to people being called ****ty fish keeper which is all fine with me and does not hurt my feelings at all. But what you are saying

is that I should not take any of the information I have gathered from those posts and research, being good or bad in my point of view and pass it on because I have never personally owned the fish? If these things bug you that bad on an open forum just don't involve yourself in that post and move on or disregard the comment. In any reply you can learn something it may be that it is great information or that it is a horrible information, non the less the only time you can't learn something is when you don't want to.

We wouldnt have information on these fish had someone not have owned one at one point or another.
like i said the its up to the pet owner to know the basics of the fish theyre purchasing. In this case the owner should have researched and saw the basic requirements.
People see a beautiful fish and wanna know what you did to get it to that stage. Not just to take the words of someone who hasnt raised the fish theyre talking about. How can they validate your word if they look you up to find out youve never had one. Then theyll keep posting the same question untill someone that has one answers. This forum is dying and facebook groups are exploding. Half the people who made this site what it is dont even bother to get on anymore.
