Interesting juxtaposition there Scott. Btw, congratulations on the spawn. Where were the parents collected?

Fair enough question.

Scott, when you start that other thread (to prevent further derails here) please provide the collection info on your wild umbees. If you don't know, it would be interesting how easy or how hard it is to get an answer from your seller. We're not having any luck with the Vontehillo sellers...

All vendors should face the same scrutiny and enjoy the results of that process, good or bad.

For the record I think any of us would ask this question regardless of the 'source'. I know I would. For instance, if you're trying to breed the fish you might like to know what the collection area was like (rocky, sandy, lots of wood, fast/slow current, temp, etc) so you can better simulate there environment. This is not a bashing of anyone 'thread'. In fact the people with questions have been very civil. Just enlighten us please.

Nemesis, do you have Vontehillo? If so, what did Ira tell you about them when you purchased them?

Does ANY buyer have any background info on these fish? The sellers aren't talking!

Like I said, "very nice vontehillo Dominator, would love to see some updates"!

Im defo getting some of these off Don, regardless of their origin, cuz theyre COOOOOOOOOOL!!!!

At worst they could be a domestic strain of Carpinte, at best a new race to compare with my Chairels. Either way, theyre cracking!!

((SOME ONE UP IN HERE DRINKING THAT 5 HOUR HATERADE!!))

Nice vontehillo Dominator!!

The free swimming is my female - shes doing great, the male had his tail eaten off, I have him in a 40 Gallon breeder for a week medicating, & salting. Another week, & ill try to introduce him again.
